Back from the trip to the three gorges dam.

Met with a bus crash but luckily, we all survived.

杨家溪军事漂流 is fun and exciting. Had difficulty trying to paddle the rubber boat and move forward.

It was definitely an exhausting journey, having to travel for long distances by bus. Had dinner only at8plus pm. left for wuhan from yichang only at 930am. Reached Wuhan at only 2plus am.

Dead beat.

I guess today's incident at cultural street is the most happening of all during our stay here. Chonglei wanted to look for her mouse at cultural street. Met xiumin and co on the way and they told us that we don't need to shop already since most of the shop owners aren't happy with the rent increment and it doesn't helps when the human flow at Cultural Street is low. I think none will go to Cultural Street except the students at CICE.

A few days' back, qianting, chonglei and me saw a fight between some guys outside cultural street. They were throwing bricks, attempting to hurt each other, mind you.

3 days waking up at 7am is really a big deal. At least is over for now. But not the assignments waiting for me to complete. RAWR.

This week's a busy week.

Donation drive this morning for CIP after business com lecture. Maybe things are not as simple as what we thought to be, but our main motive is just to help the kids. Some locals are too poor to care about others, some didn't even care about us, but there are still people who are willing to help. Met with lots of obstacles, but still thanks alot(: The boss of 广记 is really nice to ask about our sales and help out. Thanks(:

It's always better to be prepared.

We were in a state of shock, anger and helpless when we were told that the water supply would be cut off for at least 3 days. We weren't in the least prepared for it. We didn't stock up water and my roommates hadn't even bathe yet.

But somehow the water supply was back, and we were told another news. Water supply will be cut off from 11pm to 6am for a whole month.

I think we all have to just get prepared and stock up water in our pails and endure this period together.

终于可以淘宝了。可是，当买家DESPO到在半个小时内打了至少5通电话时，我相信任何人都会抓狂，尤其是当那个人的声音恶心到一个不行，在谈话中不断的耍嘴皮子时，你应该会想直接给他两巴掌！~

第一，没有人想和你沟通。因为听到你的声音就反胃。

第二，我们不需要你陪我们练汉语。因为我们是中文系的，听得懂、看得懂、读得懂、会写汉语！

第三，你真的很烦！都说了我们不是本地人，不了解这里的快递系统，你只要帮我们选一个比较安全的不就得了，你需要打那么多通电话吗？

第四，我不想电话再响多一次。

第五，我们没有要和你交朋友的意思。

Wuhan's damn hot. Temper's hot as well.

Went for shopping @ 东门 this afternoon. Walked in the wrong direction i supposed before getting there. Won't ever go back there again. It's too messy and the hot weather makes shopping even worse.

Cabbed to 武商 and had dinner @ KFC. Wanted to get a card reader at 电脑城but their opening hours is only till 6pm.

Jane informed us of the postponing of 国学典籍期中考 yesterday during 国际商务's lesson, and definitely spelled relief for everyone of us. No wonder we are so relax yesterday and today.

Badminton-ed just now with CS, qianting, yiqi, shinru, vina, xiumin and huiwen. Feel the temptation to play when we saw yiqi and vina playing badminton after dinner at this KFC-like fast food restaurant. The food is cheaper and nicer than the fake-KFC near 武商。

Glad that there's no lesson this morning.(:

Glad that 胡安武gave us tips for mid-term test, though it's tough to understand.

Glad that i talked to YJ via email yesterday and today. This's enough.

Reality is always the hardest to face, but what comes after that is always something that you'll love i guess.

Planned and wished that i'll be able to follow through this plans. I want to watched LIN DAN on tv without burdens of homework.

On a lighter note, I'm coming home in exactly 2 months' time. ^^

Labor Day break is great. Had been sitting down in front of my laptop for Friday, Yesterday and today. Watched 施公奇案 and played restaurant city. This kinda break before a whole lot of assignments is definitely necesssary. Well, reality comes after that.

Sorry for the lack of pictures. My laptop can't seem to read my memory stick, idk why. Will post more pictures when i get a card reader or something.

Half day break tmr. thanks to youth day. we're entitled to a half day break = NO MORNING LESSONS.

The 5/1 break is here, like finally.

It's not the time to slack since term tests are coming up after the break, but let me recharge and rejuvenate with sufficient amount of sleep first before i start to flip through my notes and study. After term tests, it's assignments and more assignments.

We went to the arcade @ 流行视窗 last Friday. Played taiko and many other games. There is this extremely cool machine which will generate out tickets. It had a wheel with many numbers on it, which will correspond to the number of tickets the machine will generate it out for you. So, first you will have to press this button 3 times to know how many spaces the wheel had to move. For instance, if the total number of spaces is 10, the wheel will move 10 spaces and the corresponding number on that space will be the number of tickets the machine will generate it out for you. Four of us played and i think we got more than 60 tickets, qianting alone helped us to get 50 tickets! Will continue to accumulate the number of tickets to exchange for prizes.(:

Dinner was at Kurahashi. We had to be on the waiting list as there were just too many people. Ordered Seafood ramen and sushi. The satisfaction was there!

Lazy weekends. Finished 国学 and slacked. Internet is horrible at night. Went to KFC for breakfast this morning. Initially, planned to eat at chicony since it's so much nearer but in the end had to walk all the way to 武商 to eat AS THERE WAS NO BREAKFAST AT KFC@CHICONY. Ate bacon cheese with egg burger. The burger was so small, can hardly satisfy my stomach. Went to 广八路 to shop. Nothing much really. While on our way back, saw this shop which sells really cheap clothes. Bought 2 and went back to school. Had our free dessert at 广记 before going back to hostel.

Time has wings.

Oh Well, eventually, the water supply was not cut off. Whatever.

Went to have seafood buffet with qianting, chonglei and cuishan and qianting's family at logosun hotel after school yesterday. Thanks qianting's family for reserving the seats.

Had fruits and ice cream as well. Overall, th e food does satisfy my mouth and stomach. (:
Went back to qianting's parents room and waited for qianting to bathe first before cabbing back to our hostel. Was damn tired when we finally reached hostel.

It must be insane to blog at 6.20AM in the morning.

Yesterday, CS, chonglei and me went out for dinner at around 7 plus. We wanted to avoid the dinner crowd but it seems that there were still alot of people having dinner at time point of time. We went to Ajisen@ chicony. The food is average and can't satisfy me. Won't go the second time.

日式饺子-the nicest among all i supposed.

CS and chonglei's 味增拉面。

CS's 棒棒虾我的咖喱猪扒饭。The curry is too sweet according to chonglei.

conclusion: KURAHASHI's still the best.

Went to breadtalk and walked back to school.

& something shocked us so hard that we immediately call those who were not informed yet.

Due to some maintenance of the water plant of the Wuchang District, water supply will be cut off from 7am today till 8pm tomorrow. 37 hours to be exact.

Chiong-ed to buy pails and mineral water at the provision shop for ourselves as well for our friends.

Called mom. She said don't sigh over this kinda small things. Worse things had happened before to her and family eons back in Singapore, where they had to walked a long way to wash their clothes and every family will only be entitled to a certain amount of water whenever water supply was cut off.

Alright, I won't die. I'll pull through with optimism.

Done with Chu Culture Essay. Chiong-ed on Friday night and yesterday's afternoon. Managed to sent teacher the essay by last night. Next up will be 国学赏析2.

Cuishan's parents reached Wuhan on Friday night and visited our hostel yesterday morning. The worse part is chonglei and i were still sleeping! They left after a while. In the afternoon, qianting's parents reached Wuhan and she went off to meet her parents and sister. Chonglei and I joined them for dinner @ 博雅园. Thanks qianting's dad for the treat^^. Went to cultural street and back to hostel for more slacking. Around 10plus, we watched this Japanese movie, 在世界的中心呼喊爱。Based of my knowledge of this movie, I expected it to be touching enough to move everyone to tears. However, there wasn't any part I felt like crying, perhaps I was too tired.

As for today, it's still slacking and rotting and not moving around. Facebook-ed, Neopets-ed and viwawa-ed.

Past few days had been sinful, or rather, enjoyable, if i were to put it in nicer terms. We had been treating ourselves with good food and living each day like there's no homework to be handed in this coming Sunday.

We bought a cute pan to cook breakfast yesterday @ cultural street & this morning's our first attempt to make breakfast for ourselves.

Lunch was at this Japanese Restaurant ( Kurahashi ) at Chicony. The ambiance good, the food's at reasonable pricing and it tastes fabulous!

I ordered this 叉烧拉面寿司定食。

Went to the supermarket afterwards and since we spent 500RMB in a day, we are able to make this chicony card which entitles us to discounts if we were to come here and spend again. Went to 流行视窗 to have our manicure session.

Love my nails(:

Dinner was Cheese Spaghetti.

Sinful, but stop to think, we can live life only once. & this is the best time to enjoy all you can. ^^

For now, it's back to reality. 1500 words to go..

Thought that I should write something.

Life's as usual. Just that now we have pretty much assignments to work on.

Chu Culture's Presentation and Business Com essay down, next's Chu Culture essay and 国学赏析。

Ventured to a restaurant ( Show Coffee & Tea ) for lunch last friday. The ambiance was good, the food was good, the price's reasonable. We had a whole VIP room to us. Shall post the pics when i get them from wanyan. I realised i've been very lazy at taking pics and posting pics nowadays, very different from when i've just reached wuhan.

Finished watching One Litre of Tears last weekend. A touching show indeed. Aya was strong and positive and these traits impacted many people like her. I don't think life's fair to her but stop and think, when's life fair to anyone?

跌倒又有什么关系，还可以再站起来。跌倒后可以顺便仰望一下天空；

Getting busier and busier, just hope that 1 May will come faster. I want my 3 days labour day break.

天坛·景泰蓝·颐和园·北京烤鸭

You will get to see such scenes of the Beijing people doing exercise in 天坛公园。
We only get to see the 2 out of the 3 main buildings. Such a pity.
After which, we went to the 景泰蓝制作厂。

Lunch-ed at some lousy restaurant. Service was bad, attitude was even worse. & we ate some fake 烤鸭。Horrible. The tour guides were pissed off. This shouldn't be how a capital of a country should portray to it's tourists.

After lunch, went to our last tourist attraction, the summer palace.

We requested to add on the authentic 烤鸭 to our dishes. Forking out our own money wasn't an issue since the duck is so much nicer than what we had for lunch.

Left for Beijing West railway station after that and it was only like 7pm when we reached. Our train was at 9pm. We paid 10RMB to rest at this lounge.

3 days in Beijing was indeed short for such a culturally rich city. But, I'll be back.

北京玉雕厂·十三陵·土产·长城·水立方

Went to alot of places on the second day ( 5 April 2009 ).

first is 北京玉雕厂。Nothing much. Expensive stuffs.

Next up was 十三陵。

They found an empress' 凤冠 while uncovering the place.

Lunch-ed at some 农家参观and went to this place where it sells alot of 北京土产 such as 京八件，冰糖葫芦，龙须糖and many more.

GREAT WALL WAS NEXT! The sense of satisfaction was immense. It's no doubt difficult to climb especially when the slope is extremely steep and the steps were quite high.

I wonder how they put this up there.

Was very excited to see the water cube and the bird's nest. It's just extremely beautiful. To see it for yourself is really a totally different experience.

Left at around 830 and went back to have late dinner. It's a day of satisfaction and to see the water cube is a dream come true.

After we reached Beijing, we went for our breakfast at a hotel. It's a buffet style breakfast which consists of egg, toast, porridge, hot dog and etc.

After breakfast, our first stop was Tiananmen Square. 它可以同时容纳100万人。We spent more than an hour queuing up to see Chairman Mao.

We proceeded to 故宫 after that.

Lunch was at some 饭店, and we only get to eat our lunch at 3plus. The food was for some herbivore i guess. 同样一种菜用不同方式煮时怎样？没有肉是怎样？

Finally get to go back to our hotel. And the hotel is at some ulu place situated in some deserted and unknown place.

went to 王府井步行街in the evening. It's flooded with branded stores.

And so we decided to go 小吃街。Didn't try the food except for the fake taco ball. Spent most of the time walking around looking for souvenirs. Made 印章and bought bracelet for mom dad and sis.

First day was tiring. & the hot weather makes everything worse.

Back from Beijing.

Some points to note:

Food was horrible, service was terrible, attitude was even worse. But this does not include the last dinner we had at 天外天。
The satisfaction from climbing up to the 888m peak of Great Wall is great.
Water Cube is extremely beautiful at night.

3 April 2009

Board the bus at 720 and left for 武昌火车站。First time taking the train, it's a totally new experience. The train cabin is extremely small with 6 people sleeping in the same cabin. 车厢分上铺、中铺和下铺。

Last post before i leave for Beijing tmr. This Beijing Trip will be our first cultural journey during our stay here. We'll be taking a train tomorrow night! More or less packed. This trip will be a break from our usual lessons((:

Just came back from a 联谊活动 organized by both CCNU and NP. Though it's very last minute, the programs are quite alright. More pics when i get them from vina(:

It's been 3 years plus since the last visit to Beijing. Beijing must have changed alot, I think.

managed to use more than 45 minutes' time for it and wasted another 30 minutes discussing what to perform for tmr's 联谊。There's this program arranged for us and we only know it like today?! double sianness and we're leaving for Beijing on Friday night. Whatever.

Went to 武商to buy some necessities for Beijing Trip during the break.
Went to 江汉路 @ 汉口 after 国际商务沟通lesson, to accompany qianting to buy her adidas bag pack. But, the adidas shop is under renovation or something. in the end, she bought a Nike bag pack @ 198RMB which is around 45SGD. Went back to cultural street to have our dinner @ the newly opened 广记养生餐厅，tried the 卤香肉饭套餐。Not bad.

Class meeting @ 830. Talked about Beijing Trip and the important things that we have to take note of.

樱花·东湖磨山风景区

我们终于看了樱花了！

武汉大学的樱园吸引了好多人！！难得可以看到樱花，一定要拍照！樱花真的很漂亮。

通往樱园的路。。。

终于看到樱花了！樱花分两个颜色：粉红色和白色。

武大很古色古香的一角。这里竟然是他们的宿舍！( photos credit to qianting )

来到武汉一个多月了，还没看到冰糖葫芦呢！我们买了一支，味道刚好，不会太甜。太好吃了！我们的下一个目的地是东湖磨山风景区。

往上爬。。然后在城楼上可以看到的东湖。

在磨山风景区内，有一个被仿造出来的楚市，里头有林林总总的商品，像什么剑、扇子和其他手工艺品，还有游戏！当中就有射箭，若击中红心，就可以得到奖品。
& I CLIMBED MORE THAN 300 STEPS OF STAIRCASES JUST TO REACH THE TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN! 边走边喘，好像有什么哮喘病之类的。反正很累很累。The stairs looked never ending from the foot..

抵达后。。根本不想动了。Rested for a while before coming down and headed back to the hostel.
Chiong-ed 写作与欣赏 ppt & will chiong 楚文化 later on. Having a presentation this Wednesday & another one next tuesday which is the day we come back from Beijing!

&& i just saw fireworks! PRETTY! But sadly no photos.:(

放肆·阵亡。

今天，大家都阵亡了。
Never woke up so early JUST to go shopping. Though the weather is somewhat similar to yesterday's and it rained too, it's definitely a fruitful trip as all of us explored new places in Wuhan and not just the usual chicony and wushang we would go. Took 2 cabs and there's something I don't understand about taxi here. We have to look for a taxi which plate number ends with a even number since today is the 28th of March, which is a 双号日。The journey wasn't too long, around 25-30 minutes i think. We had to cross the 长江大桥before reaching 汉口。We alighted at 多福路and went to meet mian & co. Our first stop was 汉正街批发市场or something. It's so big and it's never ending, like bugis street but bugis street is definitely not comparable to the size of this 批发市场。We split up. The first shop we went in was the shop that chonglei and cuishan started to "die". LOL. Nothing caught my eye at that place. We don't have any idea of where to go and we landed at this 多福批发市场，which is a place not worth mentioning and not worth going. And we decided to head off to 老鼠街，but we don't know the direction and we were just blindly walking. Some people were so unfriendly and hostile and a cab driver told us that it's located at some 中山路。As if I would know where is that. Until cuishan met a nice person and we can finally locate that place.

The whole place is muddy due to the rain and there were rubbish everywhere, went into the first shop which sells show's stage's shirt and many started to "die" there. I didn't. Still. I think it was only at the second shop when I saw a long sleeve shirt and "died" with chonglei. It was 85RMB initially but since we bought it together it's at 2 for 90RMB. Saved 40RMB! haha~! Ventured more of 老鼠街before deciding that it's lunch time and we should have lunch before going back!

Went to this 豪客来餐厅to have our lunch.

The meal consits of this soup,this not so nice drink,

2butter breads,and of course the main dish, chicken chop

and lastly the fruits! I Love the fruits!!!~
And all these just for 28RMB! ( Less than 7SGD )

Feeling recharged and back for more shopping! 老鼠街is really big, inside 老鼠街, it has 老鼠一街、二街、三街and more i believe. ( photos credits to chonglei )

Shopped and went to our next destination which is @ 江汉路。And I just don't understand why some cab drivers refused to drive us there, maybe it's time to change shift. Stranded there for don't know how long before this kind driver is willing to drive us there. Alighted at this 步行街 where it is full of branded stuffs!

definitely not my place to be in. Singyee bought a Nike bag pack and after which we went to this discount shop where they sell branded stuffs at a cheaper price. Some are really cheap. Went back hostel after which. Dead tired.

It's definitely not Light Rain! And we have to brave through the howling winds to buy our food! RAWRS! I wish i can just shoot out fire and warm the place up:(
Tomorrow's even lower, at 4-9 degrees Celsius. Hope that it won't dampen our mood for shopping @ 汉口tmr.
I think we have to buy a back pack for Beijing's trip, and a good pair of shoe for the same purpose too. My current shoe is in a going-to-be-spoiled condition as it had undergo all sorts of weather and walked through different kinds of road, smooth ones, rocky and of course muddy ones.

It's already the fourth week since I reached Wuhan, and tomorrow will be my first month here.

Everything's fine here, just that the modules here are a lot more difficult and the weather here is really unpredicatable. But I guess it's just a matter of faith, optimism and perseverance.

Today's 民俗学talks about 婚姻民俗。& i think it's really interesting to know some of the wedding and dating cultures the minority groups in China has.

AND THE FASTEST WAY TO SETTLE THIS PROBLEM IS THROUGH DELIVERY!
Wanted to call the 馄钝shop but THEY REFUSED TO PICK UP OUR CALL. Second choice was Mac but can you imagine, THEY DON'T HAVE DELIVERY IN WUHAN! Oh well, maybe that's because Wuhan isn't a major city like beijing or shanghai. Oh well, went to KFC website to check and they are great 'cos they are able to deliver to our hostel!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ZHIHUI!!! 19岁了咯！Glad that you love the presents we gave you.(:

Went to 博雅园to have our dinner-cum-birthday celebration. The attitude of the waitress is seriously terrible and horrible but i shan't talk so much about it. We ordered 15 dishes, including 2 soups and 2 desserts. && Vina, Yiqi and Solange literally went missing for more than half an hour. Still naively thought that they really went to print their notes, until i saw CS behaving strangely and that's when i know they went to prepare zhihui's gift. They only turned up after the rest of us finished and feeling full. The truth is that they went to the DIY shop at the cultural street to design and personalize zhihui's 2-storey birthday cake. The cake's nice and the fruits' fresh, just that the amount of whipped cream is like the amount of oil & salt saw in some food here in wuhan, as if it doesn't need money at all.

Will update with more pictures when i get them from wanyan, zhihui and singyee.

Let me update while there's net.

Wuhan's temperature is really unpredictable. Thought that the weather had turn for the better, but today it has dropped to 10degrees and will continue for the next few days to come. Well, we were supposed to go for a trip to 东湖，but the rain spoiled the plan. Just ate 鸡蛋肉丝炒粉面，which is something like our cha kway tiao, but i still think nothing can beat Singapore's cha kway tiao.

Went to mac-turkey, a fast food restaurant like mac+KFC yesterday. It's horrible! So spicy, and it's not full at all. 吃下去都不知道要装肚子的哪里。Went wushang after that to stock up our food, the 4 packets lays in a big packet is no longer there already.

人，真的不能有惰性！~After chu culture lesson just now, decided to go buy our dinner though the time is only 340pm, but the weather is so cold that we don't want to go out again when we are back in our hostel. So, we decided to go and buy porridge and sushi. We took the longer route to the shop but CHOSE TO take the SHORTER ROUTE back to our hostel and it lands us in ALL SORTS OF TROUBLE. The route is way too muddy and our shoes SANK INTO THE MUD! Had a hard time cleaning up our shoes~

On the way back to our hostel, saw lots of students playing basketball at the court just outside our lobby. And there's this random guy ( i suspect he's a korean ) walking up to us and telling qianting where is another better angle to take a photo, and he even offered his help to take a picture for us. LOL.

Yesterday and half of today were spent rotting in our room. The internet is working superbly well yesterday. Think all of us had more than 6 hours spent in front of the laptop, and the excitement of having internet is just so wonderful for my roommates. Rotted my whole saturday away before going out for dinner. Initial plan was dinner @ this 秀玉红茶坊，but there were quite a number of people waiting outside and thus decided to change our dinner plan to 永和豆浆。Dinner was treated by chonglei since she achieved an "A" in her results. THANKS SO MUCH!

hx said that 70% of my post entry are about food, that i don't deny. But, seriously, post without pictures are boring, at least to me.

成绩昨天揭晓了。应该还可以更好的，很庆幸自己的NEWMEDIA能够拿到B。这个学期，是应该更加努力的。

After lesson yesterday, went to celebrate our good grades with CS, qianting and chonglei by having lunch. The meal was satisfying. Dinner was at 爱上红茶。The food was far from standard.

It's supposed to be 韭菜猪肉饺子，but the Ingredients inside were all 韭菜，which when you ate too much, you will start to feel a stinging feeling on your tongue. The last time chonglei ordered was much nicer than what i ate yesterday. But, the boss compensated by giving us a plate of strawberries.

Went down to ordered a cup of drink, 香橙苹果汁，and it sort of save my tongue.

Chonglei went to buff her nails at this 丽人屋。There are like so many steps to polishing and buffing before the boss can finally apply the 护甲油 on her fingers. And all these for just 10RMB.

& this is how we hang our clothes when we bring back our clothes from the washing machine downstairs at our lobby.

停电了！

Woke up early at 8, bathe and start to use my laptop. After awhile ( not even 15 minutes i think ), my laptop screen went black! I still thought is that my charger becomes loose or what, until CS told me that there is NO ELECTRICITY! And she gave me some money to go down to top up our bills. I was so shocked 'cos we are still left with 400plus of electricity unused when we last saw the amount of money left at 9Mar. SO WE USED UP 400plus RMB of electricity in just 10 days? And so as usual, went to take the lift, BUT YOU KNOW WHAT? THE LIFT HAS NO SIGNAL AS WELL! So no choice had to take the stairs down to tell the security guard that i wanted to top up our bills.

管理员：不只你有这个问题，整栋楼都没电了，你看这个通知。

I don't even know how to react and I don't even know how i managed to climb up 10 storeys of staircase this morning. Told my roommates this BAD NEWS when i reached. Decided that we won't be coming back during the 2 hours break, hence the decision to go out and makan! Went to this Western Restaurant ( 豪享来中西餐厅). The food's good, the price's reasonable as well.

They had HK dimsums like 虾饺，排骨等, as well as western food and rice and stuffs.

Went over to 武商again, bought our mineral water and i bought a big packet of Lays with 4 small packets of different flavour for just 12RMB. After that, walked all the way back to school and climbed 5 storeys of staircase to reach our classroom.

国学lesson is interesting as usual, stories are always entertaining and his knowledge really makes me feel that I know so little.

Went back to our hostel to see whether the electricity is still cut off. There is still no electricity at around 5plus, thus we decided to go for dinner. It's so tough to find a place to eat our dinner, since their power supply was also being cut off. We can only eat stuffs like Sushi and Sandwich. The sandwich tastes weird.

It was around 7 when we reached our hostel and the ELECTRICITY IS STILL NOT BACK! But i should say the experience is definitely a cool one, like what chonglei said, “八国联军的学生聚集在lobby和篮球场。” HOW OFTEN CAN YOU GET TO SEE THIS?

当电在大约7点时恢复运作时，你几乎是可以听到大家的欢呼声的。可是，电梯还没开始运作，要等多一会儿。Waited for awhile before CLIMBING 10 STOREYS AGAIN!
是喘的咯。When we reached our hostel, the lift starts to work again. #$^@*$*#)@&@

The electricity in our room came back and went off and it's still continuing to be like that even till now, 9.48pm when i'm typing this blog.

虽然今天我消耗了不少体力，但依然是个难忘的经验。

There's only one lesson today and after lesson ended, we went back to our hostel before going out. We headed to 永和豆浆 for our early lunch ( I think is around 10 plus ). Ordered 热干面 but it wasn't to my liking. Went to 武商量贩after which to stock up our food, saw 4 packets of lays just for 12RMB and i had this urge to buy before mian reminded me that we're still going shopping later on.
I think it was only 12 plus when we left 武商量贩，and we flagged 2 taxis to go to our next stop which is 大洋百货@光谷。The taxi fare is ONLY 10.10 RMB, if you convert to Sing dollar, you can't even travel anywhere.

大洋百货is SUPERRRR BIGGGGG! BIGGER THAN VIVO CITY! It seems that there is no end to it and we don't even know where to start. However, nothing seems to interest me. I BELIEVE 汉口will be a much better choice to shop. Went to Mac to rest and i ate my fillet meal. It wasn't as nice, even the coke seems weird. >.<

We left after resting and headed for the another shopping center which is 光谷广场。We went in to the 光谷书城. Most of the books there doesn't interest me at all, except for those 张小娴's novels. But, I believe 崇文will be a better place. Went to starbucks to rot before flagging a cab back to school. We decided to try to sit on the crazy taxi for the first time but it was an unpleasant experience. Some ppl( 浓妆艳抹得像妖精一样的人） are just so rude! It's definitely our first time and our last time sitting on that crazy taxi. FYI, the crazy taxi is something like a shuttle bus which brings us from the north gate to the east gate and etc.

There are 2 very extreme types of ppl here, the very kind and friendly and the EXTREME OPPOSITE. And did i say they really love to horn their siren like nobody's business. && they like to push people and don't even bother to say excuse me. This morning, when we were climbing up the stairs to our classroom, there was this lady standing at the staircase and she don't even bother to move away when she saw us. In the end, we had to like walk sideway to continue climbing.

& the very ironic thing is that i saw banner everywhere saying something like 创文明武汉。I can't remember the exact wordings. If the attitude of the people don't change, i doubt they will really become a 文明武汉in the near future to come.

有些时候，自己能够明白自己的了解就够了。如果有人支持你，那当然最好。可是，如果没有，也不必沮丧。自己明白就够了。凡是看开、看破就好。看破，就没事了，何必伤了自己的身体呢？算了。

今天天气好多了！=)

Wake up early to go eat MacBreakfast with CS, chonglei, qianting, zhihui and wanyan. Ordered a Sausage EggMuffin meal and it costs me 17.50RMB. In china, the meal is called 麦满分。The burger is smaller compared to Sg's, but overall it's satisfactory i should say. When we finished our breakfast, it's only 9.30am. We went over to 武商量贩 to shop and afterwhich we went to 电脑城 since zhihui wants to buy a webcam.

电脑城，顾名思义，是售卖一切电脑产品如笔记本、硬盘、U盘等。当然，还有数码相机和手机等。We went to the second floor to look for zhihui's webcam. There is one salesperson who charged 260RMB for one webcam which is like sooooooooooooooo horrible!! 看我们不是本地人就可以砍我们吗？真不可理喻。Luckily, we were smart enough to walk around first and bargained before buying. The webcams there are really nice, has various designs and colours and shapes. In the end, zhihui bought one mickey mouse's shape at 80RMB, a 19RMB deduction from the original price.

My legs are really pain after walking around. Went back to cultural street to buy lunch before back to hostel.

Internet is back for the 4 of us. Hope there's no more problems anymore.=)

Some dvds of hk drama bought recently which includes 家好月圆，铁咀银牙，施公奇案，洗冤录and many more. Each disc costs 3.50RMB!
What i ate for dinner today. PASTA. =)

今天的天气延续昨天的，还是好冷。风好大，刺骨。今天早上开班会，老师跟我们说了很多我们必须注意的事项，例如：出勤率、外出等事。

Today's weather turned for the worse, it's back to those temperature when we just reached wuhan. Argh!!!~

After class today, we went to a restaurant in school called 博雅园，I think it's the best food eaten since we've reached Wuhan.

精华·糟粕

Let me blog while the net is still working well.The net is not working very well these days and it's incurring everyone's wrath already.We can't do anything without the net. The last resort is to watch dvds we bought at the newly opened cultural street.

We had one class meeting on monday in the evening. Ray laoshi and xuanxuan laoshi briefed us on some of the things we had to take note of. They went back yesterday morning. Took a class photo with them before they leave.

武汉是个陌生的环境，有许多事情可能我们无法接受，可是我们必须了解、必须承认这是他们的文化。

好与不好，不是我们所能够去批判的。既然来到这里，如果无法入乡随俗，最起码做到最基本的尊敬吧，毕竟这里不是属于我们的地方。

很多事情，我们无法适应，是因为我们在来到这里之前，太过于舒适了。

有些时候，期望不要太高，毕竟这里不是新加坡。

从惊吓到接受，都有一段适应期，或长或短，只看你怎么去调整自己的心态去适应、去接受并包容。

中华文化有几千年的历史，当中必有精华也定然有糟粕。我们来到这里，接触到的两者皆有，接受糟粕但不要把它带回新加坡，吸收精华让它成为你个体的一部分。=)

Getting used to the life here, except for somethings which I think it's unacceptable. Take for instance, there's no sign indicating this is a pedestrian and no vehicles are allowed here. However, I guess this is the culture here in culture and I think we should just accept it even though we think that this should not be happening at all.

Anyway, we explored beyond the cultural street and found the shop which sells porridge! Shall try it next time.

Went 群光广场just now in the evening to have our dinner and take away bread. Saw Vina when we came back, and after which she passed us our notes and 学生证。

Saw kate wearing the school's tshirt, shall buy it someday.^^

今天，我们去新的教室上课。教学楼就在我们留学生宿舍楼的旁边，不用十分钟的路程就能到了。

可是！我们的教室在五楼，所以我们必须爬楼梯上去五楼上课！！

从教室外，可以看到的我们留学生宿舍楼。

这是我昨晚的晚餐，寿司！是在新开的文化街买的，单吃寿司是还好，可是沾上沙拉酱就怪怪的。

未来的117天，除去周末和我不再武汉的日子（因为文化之旅的关系），我每天都要爬5层楼的楼梯！！！

Wake up early in the morning since we are going for an excursion to 湖北省博物馆and东湖。The bus ride from school to the museum was quite fast, i think around 20-30mins. We actually saw people queuing up to visit the museum while on the bus. I think this will never ever happen in Singapore. HAHA.

We went to several galleries to have a look at different artifacts.

China really have a rich culture and history, and I think what I saw today was nothing but a tip of the iceberg. After which, we board the bus and the driver drove us to 东湖。Didn't managed to take any photos of it since we were just sitting on the bus and the driver drove one round around the lake. The lake is humongous!!~

There's something wrong with the internet today, which makes me very pek-chek. So I shall keep my post short and sweet. Will post more when the internet is working well again. =(

There's this cultural street nearby our hostel and it officially opens today. Went to explore it after class today and saw many varieties of shops there, from restaurants to manicure to accessories and to my favorite disney soft toys and bags.

After exploring, we went back to our hostel to rot.Tried to use the net but as I have said earlier, the net is making me very pek-chek and hence i off it and watched the tv instead. The tv was showing 洗冤录 and we watched it from i think 1plus to 5plus. It was showing 4 straight episodes which is great!

After finish watching 洗冤录，we went back to the cultural street to have our dinner. Initially, we wanted to have dinner at this shop selling spaghetti, but in the end we end up at this shop selling rice, burgers, fruits and beverages. Chonglei and I tried their 台湾卤肉饭，qianting ate a plate of fried rice and cuishan ate a plate of curry beef rice. We ordered another plate of fruit salad.

他们除了很有礼貌之外，服务也很周到。

It was the first day of their opening and they don't have enough fruits, when the boss served us the fruit salad, he told us that “对不起，水果少了一点。” and said that “谢谢你们这样照顾我们。”

The boss gave us a 15% discount and deduct another 2.4RMB, saying that it was due to the lack of fruits. It seems that they like to ask us whether Singaporeans can understand 普通话。

After that, we went to walk around and I bought this winnie the pooh soft toy. It was designed based on the 12 zodiacs. Wanted to buy a horse's design but they couldn't find it, in the end bought a cow's.

Will be going to the mueseum and 东湖 tmr. Hope that the net will be fine tmr^^

昨天，老师来查房，顺便告诉我们今天要开班会，让我们今天下课后到群光广场的必胜客(Pizza Hut)去。
我和崇蕾点了一份二人套餐，就包括以下的食品；
1。日式比萨
2。鸡肉芝士焗饭
3。浓情香鸡翼
4。海鲜水果沙拉
5。some raspberry drinks, can't remember

今天是10点的课，哈哈！

今天的天气还是很冷，听说还要再冷多一个星期左右。

Bought a new pair of boots in school after 国际商务沟通课。Although I won't be able to wear in Singapore, but I seriously can't stand the coldness anymore and thus I need one to keep legs warm.

Went back to hostel for lunch before going to class at around 130. 九号教学楼是远的咯。And we have to buy this blue plastic bag at 0.20cents to cover our shoes before going in to the computer lab. LAME. New media lesson was lame today, we spent like more than 30 minutes creating a QQ ID and adding people inside the conversation. And after which, we had to edit one picture, add some words and we had to write the procedures out in chinese! rushing like mad lah, seriously, and late for the next class.

楚文化was okay. Bought 干香回锅肉饭dinner today. It costs me 5RMB and a relatively large portion.

今天是自由活动日，我们到了群光广场购买日常用品。群光广场比我们昨天去的武商量贩近多了。群光广场好像新加坡的TAKA，是高级的咯。

可是，这里买东西好麻烦。我们买东西要开单，吃东西也要办美食卡？WTH!!! 最后，我们到了7楼吃火锅。我们点了鸳鸯锅，一边是辣的，一边是不辣的。虽然说真的很辣，可是还是很好吃的！哈哈，而且有免费的饮料，菜色任你选，我们四个人吃也不过122RMB，一个人30.50RMB。

after that, we went to buy our necessities before going back to the hostel. In the evening, went back to 武商to buy floor mat and jacket. The jacket is going at 2 for 120RMB, shared with singyee and we both get a white jacket. Was so tired when going back. The road is dark like as if it's 12midnight in Singapore! We have to climb a freaking long slope before reaching our hostel, and what's worse is that the slope is not flat at all!

In the morning, we went to 武商量贩 to shop for our daily necessities. I saw a shop selling POOH there!! 武商量贩类似新加坡的升松超市，很大，买很多东西，五花八门。Bought a lot of things there and the receipt is super duper long. LOL. We lugged everything back to our hostel in the rain. 好累！

In the afternoon, we went to tour around the school.

I think this is one of our classroom blocks.
Afterwhich, we proceed to the 行政楼for 开学典礼。

After that, we went to a 宾馆in the school to have our dinner.武汉的食物好像不是咸、不是辣就是油。

黑木耳。

糯米饭包肉。
窝窝头，i think.
炸鱼
羊肉。
豆干
蘑菇，好吃！！

FIRST DAY IN WUHAN!!

Wanted so much to update my blog asap, but the internet connection makes me so pek-chek. But all thanks to Cuishan that I'm able to blog now.

我多希望我搭的是新航的客机。。
起飞了。。
天空很大，很美。
机上的早餐。选了猪肉饭吃，味道还可以吧。开胃菜真的不知道怎么形容，甜点还可以。

我们必须填写外国人登记卡，卡的背后竟然说我们外国人是ALIENS。=.='''
我们快要抵达广州白云国际机场的时候，可以看到外头的山。
再更接近跑道的时候，可以看到广州的房子。从高处看，真的很像玩具屋。很可爱。
抵达广州的第一餐！麦当劳！
我点了McSpicy，中文好像叫什么麦香鸡的吧，忘了。它比新加坡的辣，可是很好吃！！可是，我必须说它的薯条是咸的咯，盐好像不用钱的。
在登机室等候登机。。思敏！！

大概五点左右，我们抵达武汉天河机场。一离开机舱，就能感觉到那冷风。机组人员说，武汉今天不过3度！！！我的天啊。同行的每一位同学几乎开始把所有能穿能套能戴的拿出来。

过后，我们坐了一个多小时的车，到了华中师范大学。他们先带我们到他们的餐厅吃饭。食物还算不错。
番茄炒蛋
好像是什么豆干加菜的汤。
不知道是什么菜。
一个中国北方的小吃。忘了它叫什么名字，反正就是猪肉夹在面包当中一起吃就对了。
芦笋。
鱼，可是很多鱼刺。没有多吃。
鸡肉。酸酸甜甜的，还不错。
茄子。没吃。
崇蕾，倩婷，我，翠珊。

我也不知道是什么汤，汤里有些许菇类，好像还有药材。除此之外，还有浓浓的麻油香。

过后，我们用了10多分钟的时间步行至宿舍。我们的宿舍是国际文化交流学院的宿舍，可以看见很多外国学生。

让你们看看我的宿舍。可能有点乱，刚到，没什么时间清理打扫。

好啦，今天就到这里。明天早上老师要带我们出去买日用品，下午要参观校园，晚上有开学典礼和欢迎晚宴。
